The app can change the name of a file before the file is exported to your accounting software. This enables you to have files that are attached to transactions named in a standardised format.
This feature is turned off by default and can be enabled under
Company Settings > Preferences > Rename Files On Export
The file name will be changed to the following format:
date-contact-amount.ext
For example, a pdf invoice from Walmart with the date 21 March 2021 for 29.95 would be renamed to 20210321-Walmart-29.95.pdf. The date format is year month day (yyyyMMdd).
